Belize Power Connect is a woman-led, Belizean employee-owned renewable energy social enterprise based in the Toledo District. Founded by indigenous solar engineers trained in India, the company specializes in installing, maintaining, and providing solar power solutions to rural and remote southern Belizean communities. One of the founders, Miriam Choc, was recently honored by the European Union with the “Game Changers Award.”
